2022-06-15, 16:30–16:50, Conference room - C202

I will present new AddOns to get Climate data and Satellite imagery into GRASS and how added data can be further processed in GRASS GIS. The talk will cover processing Sentinel-2 data from the Norwegian Ground segment without downloading, as well as handling of Sentinel-3 data or data from JAXA platform (e.g. GCOM-C). He has more than 15 years’ experience in advanced spatial analysis and modeling within the fields of ecology and environmental planning. Being an environmental planner by education, Stefan has a strong background in mapping- and valuation-methods used for environmental and spatial planning purposes, with a special focus on computer aided methods. In this context he acquired significant and broad ICT skills and also works on remote sensing for mapping ecosystem characteristics. Stefan is an active member of the OSGeo community and contributes to the development of Open Source Geospatial Software, mainly the GRASS GIS project where he is a member of the core development team since 2018.
